Tallwoods' resident, Jayee Thomas set-up the page and said the response from the community had been awesome.
"They've been great," she said.
"It just shows that they get together when something happens."
At the time of writing close to 200 people had donated to the page and Club Blackhead had donated $700 from its raffle on Wednesday night.
Many of the donors had also left messages for Jeff wishing him a speedy recovery and describing his kind and caring nature.
A fundraising event is also being planned in Hallidays Point to raise further proceeds towards Jeff's recovery.
He's a brilliant human being.

Close friend, Mark Fisher said Jeff had a long road ahead of him and the money raised by the community would help a lot.
"Jeff has lost everything except his car," he said.
Jeff was airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital with burns to his face and hands yesterday morning after a blaze engulfed Hallidays Point Health and Fitness and the adjoining granny flat Jeff lived in.
A spokesperson from the hospital confirmed that Jeff was in a stable condition earlier today.
Mr Fisher described Jeff, who has been the resident golf pro at Tallwoods Country Club for a number of years, as a warm and generous friend and a very popular figure in Hallidays Point.
"He's loved by everyone in the community who knows him," Mr Fisher said.
"He's a brilliant human being."
Rural Fire Service district officer, Stuart Robb, said the cause of yesterday's fire was yet to be established.
