The cause of a house fire at Tallwoods Village earlier this morning has yet to be determined.
However, police do not believe the blaze was suspicious.
Emergency services were called to the property on The Boulevarde at approximately 5am this morning r, following reports the building was well alight.
Four crews from Fire and Rescue NSW and the Rural Fire Service attended and extinguished the blaze about 8.30am.
The man was found outside the property suffering smoke inhalation and burns to his face and hands.
He was airlifted to Sydney's Royal North Shore in a serious but stable condition.
EARLIER:
A 49-year-old man has been airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital in a serious condition following a house fire at Tallwoods Village early this morning, Wednesday, August 26.
The man, who sustained multiple burns, was treated at the scene by Ambulance Service NSW paramedics and the Westpac Helicopter critical care medical team.
He was loaded into the aircraft and flown to Sydney just before 8am.
