Newcastle took the honours again in 2019, defeating Forster with a point score of 2067.5 to 1659.3.
13 boats took part in total - seven from Newcastle and six from Forster - with 29 participants fishing the waters off Forster Tuncurry.
Newcastle's Jamie Richards caught the largest fish of the competition, a whopping 7.9kg Bar Cod, while Forster's Martyn Barry landed a 3.44kg Dolphin Fish on Good Friday.
In all, 528 fish were caught over the weekend, adding up to a combined weight of 359.98 kilograms - not a bad effort considering conditions were not ideal for fishing.

Some of the species caught included Flathead, Snapper, Tragalan, Morwong, Leatherjacket, Trevally and Pearl Perch.
Forster Blue Water Fishing Club's publicity officer, Franklin Harshman, said it was a great weekend with good-humoured rivalry between the two clubs.
Miraculously, since its inception in 1988, the competition has never been cancelled due to bad weather.
