The Forster Triathlon Club held its second club race of the season on Sunday at Forster Keys.
After a huge weekend last week with the All Abilities Kids Triathlon, keen members backed up for the second event.
As usual, the morning kicked off with the juniors race.
Loads of enthusiasm and impressive 'have-a-go' spirit was on display.
More in local sport:
It is always fantastic to see the little ones, and the not so little ones, getting out and having a go.
Why choose just one sport when with triathlon, you get three in one?
There were 22 participants in senior races, with athletes in each of the grades from A-F.
Life member Richard Sewell made his return to triathlon racing after a significant bike accident nearly three years ago.
Richard smashed the course and pulled an impressive time of 51 minutes and 53 seconds across the course's 400m swim, 15km ride and 4km run.
The Price girls made it a family affair, with three generations taking part.
Layla competed in the junior event, mum Fiona zoomed around in C-grade, and mum's mum, affectionately known as Janma, raced F-grade.
Even the newest member of the family, Daisy the puppy made an appearance on the run course.
Mark Northcott, visiting from Newcastle, gave the A-graders some competition.
He and his family stopped by on their way back from the Noosa Triathlon Festival.
Mark’s kids enjoyed the opportunity to race in the junior category; son DJ loved riding on the road and daughter Hannah completed her very first tri on her balance bike around the grass course.
Mark was pleased by the straight swim-course and proximity of transition to the bike and run courses.
"Great club, very welcoming,” Mark said of his time in Forster.
“Thanks for the morning.
“Been on the to get to this for a number of years, I won’t make it so long till my next one."
The next club event is a casual aquathlon on Friday evening, November 30th.
What on earth is an aquathlon? Swim-run-swim-run down at the Bullring, followed by a Friday evening barbecue. Can you think of any better way to finish the week?
Entries have also just opened for the much-loved Girls Only Tri in January.
Enter before December 15 to receive a free event singlet at the finish line.
