More than a hundred pink lady silhouettes will be on display at John Wright Park, Tuncurry on Monday, October 22 in a meaningful show of support for women and families affected by breast cancer.
Every day, 42 Australian women learn they have breast cancer and seven lose their lives to the disease.
Event organiser, Heather Kelly says it’s important to recognise the impact of breast cancer on not only the woman diagnosed but all those around her.
“Although breast cancer care and knowledge has come a long way, women are still being diagnosed every single day who need our support.
“I invite the whole community to join us, and to take the opportunity to leave a personal message of support on a pink lady silhouette.”
Breast Cancer Network Australia’s (BCNA) mini-field of women events provide an opportunity for the public come together to pay tribute to all those affected by breast cancer.
The event will start at 10.30am at John Wright Park, Tuncurry.
