Forster Women’s Bowling Club held a pink day recently, to raise funds in support of the many thousands of Australian women affected by breast cancer.
The event raised more than $1300, all of which will be donated to Breast Friends.
The venue was decked out with pink decorations from head to foot, and a lavish morning tea was enjoyed by all.
The morning tea was organised by social manager Barbara Cofteros, while group secretary, Janet Campbell pulled together more than 50 raffle prizes.
Men’s club president, Allan Hughes presented Barbara Cofteros with a merit brooch from zone 11 in thanks for all her and her crew did in providing salad rolls for all pennant games for the season.
Well-deserved Barbara.
Overall, the event was a great pink success.
