Front page: 'Member Weds on Saturday'Federal member for Lyne, Bruce Cowan will marry Mrs Jan Churchill at St Mark's, Scotts Creek this Saturday, November 10. Jan, who lives in Mona Vale, is the daughter of the late Clarence and Belle Ferrari of Taree.
Page 2: ‘Our third candidate’ Julia Aldridge was one of three candidates nominated for the 1991 Oyster Festival Charity Queen contest. She was 20 at the time.
Page 4: ‘Newly born’ Kerry and Charlie Aquilina of Nabiac welcomed their son Brendan Mathew to the world. He was born at the Cape Hawke Community Hospital. He weighed 3.93kgs. He is a brother for Taurean and his grandparents are Diana and Tom Murphy and Jessie and Don Aquilina. His Great-grandfather is Frank Michell. See gallery for photo.
Page 4: ‘Newly Born’ Robyn and Kerry Kent welcomed their son Michael Robert Charles. He was born at Cape Hawke Community Hospital. He weighed 4.19kgs. He is a brother for Emma and Casey. His grandparents are Mr and Mrs R.E Palmer of Forster and Mr C.R Kent and the late Myrtle Kent of Werris Creek.
Page 8: ‘Forster locals join the force’ Forster men Nigel Knight, then 20 years old and Jeremy Condon, then 19 years old graduated from the Police Recruit Education Program (PREP) Class 245 from Goulburn Police Academy. The extensive PREP course lasted three months and is regarded as one of the best of its kind in the world. The probationary constables started work at Sydney stations on October 27. Officer Knight started in Parramatta and officer Condon at Waverley. See gallery for photo and article.
