What starts as a vibrant affair between a legendary femme fatale and her young lover, quickly grows into a deeper relationship. The romance lasts for a couple of intense years until Gloria ends the relationship.
Falling desperately ill, Gloria contacts Peter again to ask if she can stay with his family, formidable mother Bella (Julie Walters), and father Joe (Kenneth Cranham), in Liverpool. With events beyond their control, Gloria and Peter’s passion and lust for life is tested to the limits.
