Great Lakes Advocate
The Great Lakes Advocate is a weekly paid publication serving a regional population of around 35,000. The prime circulation area covers Forster and Tuncurry, reaching out to Bulahdelah, Hallidays Point, Pacific Palms and Nabiac.

The Advocate is a parochial newspaper, and specialises in news and views as they affect our area. It seeks to inform readers on a broad range of matters, from council to court, and community to sports.

The Great Lakes Advocate is published weekly on a Thursday.

The twin towns of Forster-Tuncurry are popular tourist destinations, with water sports chief among the attractions. There are six surf beaches to choose from, plus the crystal clear Wallis Lake with its sandy beaches enjoyed by boaters, fishers, paddlers and swimmers in the summer months.

Wallis Lake is also renowned for its Sydney rock oysters.
