Despite a wetter and cooler start to November, warmer spring weather is expected to return to the Great Lakes from Friday (November 24) with a predicted top of 26 degrees on the coast rising to to 31 degrees further inland
The weekend is predicted to remain relatively dry with Saturday reaching a sunny top of 26 degrees on the coast and 30 degrees in Stroud, while the temperatures will climb to 27-31 with the possibility of a shower on Sunday afternoon.
Showers are forecast to return on Monday through to at least Wednesday along with an increase in the minimum temperature to 19 degrees, while the relative humidity will climb to 85 per cent along the coast.
The mercury plunged to a record 8.5 degrees on November 6, the lowest November temperature since 2006 which came in at nine degrees.
Both the average highs and lows for November have been below with the average low coming in at 14.8 degrees, 1.6 below the average, and the average high has been 22.9, 0.9 below the average.
On November 29, 2006 the mercury rose to a sweltering 36 degrees taking the title of the hottest November day on record, well above this month’s 25 degree top last Tuesday (21st).
