A woman has been charged following investigations into a fatal single-vehicle crash south of Forster earlier this year.

About 7.30am on Wednesday, March 15 2017, emergency services were called to the intersection of The Lakes Way and Coomba Park Road at Smiths Lake following reports a Holden Commodore had crashed.
A 43-year-old man who was a passenger in the vehicle died at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle, a 39-year-old woman, was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to hospital to undergo mandatory blood testing.
Officers attached to Manning Great Lakes Local Area Command with assistance from the crash investigation unit established a crime scene and began investigations into the accident.
On Monday, August 14 following investigations, the driver was charged with dangerous driving occasioning death, negligent driving occasioning death, negligent driving, drive with illicit drug present in blood, and use unserviceable vehicle on road.
She had her licence suspended and is due to appear at Forster Local Court on Wednesday, October 18 2017.
