The Department of Primary Industries spotted this 2.6 metre white shark swimming near the Tuncurry breakwall just before 11am this morning.

Multiple white sharks measuring more than 2.5 metres long have been seen swimming around Nine Mile and Tuncurry in the last few days.
Reports of a 2.5 metre white shark at Bennetts Beach, Hawks Nest on Thursday, July 6, resulted in the evacuation of the beach with authorities notified.

Further north, several white sharks were spotted at Old Bar Beach, Manning Point and Harrington, with some measured at 2.8 metres.
