The construction of the boat shed is expected to be completed by September.
The design will see the observation deck situated on top of the boat shed, to give enhanced access to panoramic views from the Aquatic Gardens out into Wallis Lake towards Wallis and Yahoo Islands.
The construction of the boat shed is expected to be completed by September, in time for the 2017/2018 sailing season.
The cost of the project is expected to cost $207,000, with club members contributing $79,000.
Grants from the NSW Maritime Boating Now Program, NSW Community Building Partnership and NSW and MCC Stronger Communities Program contributed a total of $128,000 to the project.
This is the first of three stages, with a club room, kitchen and toilets to be installed at a later date.
The club maintains a management role over the nine hectare Coomba Aquatic Gardens through an agreed plan with MidCoast Council and the NSW Department of Lands.
Members of the club have rehabilitated the reserve and continue to provide significant infrastructure for public and community use.
