Last month we were a cool place to visit, now we’re a dry place too.

We’ll be a warm one in a couple of months’ time.
Plenty is happening in your libraries.
For starters, we’ve just launched our Better Reading Better Communities reading support program in Gloucester, and got a very good response from the community.
Training of the support tutors has just been delivered, which will lead to a great pool of skilled volunteers available to help local community members with reading support.
At Forster we’re hosting a community workshop, Love Food Hate Waste on Wednesday, March 29 with a free supper provided.
To register call 6591 7256 or visit midcoast.greatlakes.nsw.gov.au/Events-Activities/Love- Food-Hate- Waste.
It’s totally free.
In Taree we will be kicking off Youth Week on Friday, March 31 with our very popular Live’n’Loud concert.
Check out the Manning Youth Facebook page for more information.
Also at Taree, we’ll be running our Beamafilm club monthly movie.
This will be on Wednesday, April 19 and features the documentary Crazy About Tiffany’s.
Is that all?
Not by half.
Perhaps you’d like to attend the Less is More Declutter workshop at Taree on April 11.
Then there’s the origami workshop at Hallidays Point on Friday, April 7.
All these are free!
For the Taree and Hallidays Point events you can book in through the Manning Valley library website.
Oh, and while you’re at Hallidays Point, check out the Charcoal Australiana exhibition by Stephen Tolhurst, for viewing from April 3-28.
But maybe you’re only interested in activities for children during the school holidays.
We’ve got that covered too, with a whole range of events planned across the region during the fortnight.
And a huge thanks to Medowie Christian School for donating $500 towards the library, in support of the homework help service operating out of the Tea Gardens library.
The funds will go towards new titles to support students.
So the community ends up the winner.
See you at the library.
