Showers, heavy rain and even thunderstorms are predicted for the Manning today Friday.
The showers are forecast to continue on Saturday and Sunday, but easing on Sunday.
The Bureau of Meteorology reports a low pressure trough lies off the central and northern New South Wales coast, with a small low pressure centre within the trough off the Central Coast.
“This low and trough are expected to deepen later Friday in response to an approaching upper-level system, which is expected to bring significant rainfall to the Central Coast, Mid-North Coast and Northern Rivers from late Friday onwards.”
A total of 119mm of rain was recorded in Taree on Thursday, the highest recording this year.
Minor to moderate flooding is predicted for the Manning.
