After a frantic month of big races in January, it was a much welcome change to be back at Forster Keys for a standard club race sponsored by Regional Financial Services.

Twenty seven members raced across A to F-grade with a couple of first timers and a few faces that haven’t been seen at the Keys for a very long time.
Damien Hiles raced at the club for the first time in 12 years and is looking good for his preparation for Port Macquarie 70.3 in just under three months.
Other people racing for the first time, or for the first time in a long time included Corey Duncan, Dave Underwood, Tristan Marshall, Brent Connell, Glenn Dawes and Heather Fitzhardinge.
There was great battle in A-grade with Jarryd Tinson leading the field out of the swim and off the bike but Aaron Eichner showed amazing grit to pass Jarryd towards the end of the four kilometre run and across the line only seven seconds ahead.
Katie Jones showed continuing form after her wins at the women’s only race and Crowdy Head to take out B-grade and give the handicapper good reason to mover her up to A-grade.
Tony Day came from behind to win C-grade and Brent Connell took out D-grade in a time that will see him promoted to C-grade very quickly.
The next event on the calendar is our first of two aquathlons for the season at the Bull Ring on March 5 March, both kindly sponsored by Grant Flemming Solar.
