Australia Day celebrations are being held at Club Forster on Strand St, from 10:30am.
Enjoy a free morning tea followed by the Citizenship Ceremony at 11am.
Sportsperson of the Year nominees are Keith Pearce, Wendy Orman, Kristian Fiebig and Alexander Fiebig.
Young Citizen of the Year nominees are Thomas Dormor and Ashley Naylor.
Citizen of the Year nominees are Judith Newman, Laurie Sumner, Trevor Milgate, Julie Daskal, Georgina Blanch and Ken Loftus, Tanya Simon and Don Wright.
A free family fun day will run from 11am-2pm.
Entertainment will be provided by The Coads, free sample bags for the kids, free sausage sizzle, face painting and fairy floss.The kids will love the free jumping castle family games and competitions.
Rotary Club of Tuncurry Forster commences their Australia Day festivities with a barbecue breakfast at Forster Surf Club, followed by the flag raising ceremony at Pilot Hill from 7.30am. Head to Beach Street, Forster to join the community for this event. Cost is $10 per person.
In Tuncurry, head down to Sporties Tuncurry from 4pm for a free sausage sizzle and great music.
At Coomba Foreshore, Coomba Fest is on from 9am. Enjoy the festivities, picnic and relax on the beautiful Coomba Park foreshore.
At 9am an Australia Day breakfast will be served with orange juice, bacon and egg rolls and sausage sandwiches. There will be fun activities, face painting, chocolate wheel ticket sales, guessing comp, lucky dips, aussie music and more. Relax with family picnic races, the kids waterslide and raft race.
Gloucester’s Australia Day celebrations commence at 8am in the Billabong Park with the raising of the flag and a breakfast of bacon, egg and sausage sandwiches for a gold coin donation, prepared by CWA, Quota, Lions and Rotary Clubs.
A pool gala evening will be held from 2pm to 7pm. Entry to the pool will be free for the afternoon from 2pm.
A barbeque will be provided by the Gloucester Lions Club, enjoy a lolly drop for all children attending plus watch the ‘Mr Willy Doodrop and Bubbles the Clown Show’.
