Tuncurry trainer Terry Evans had a successful day at the popular Seafood Race Day on Saturday as approximately 2,000 patrons watched some great racing and tasted the local seafood delicacies.

Terry had seven horses engaged on the day with two winners, one second, one third and two fourth placing's. He took out the quinella in Race 2 with Twelfth Raj winning and Unnamed Strategy running second. He almost achieved the trifecta with Not Doubtful running on strongly to finish a close fourth.
The main race (Race 4) saw Terry with his second winner of the day- The Tuncurry Beach Bowling Club Oyster Cup Class 3 Handicap over 14000 metres (won by Maestro Tom and ridden by Wanderson D’Avila).This was the third country start for Maestro Tom and he now qualifies to race in the Highway Series in the city. Terry is going to set him for Rosehill in 2 weeks in a class 3 over 1500 metres. The happy owners of Maestro Tom came from Adelaide, Sydney & Melbourne.
