They put the feet up last weekend while this weekend’s opponents Port City navigated their way past Wingham in Wingham.
Cudmore said the break was “definitely a help” and would not stop any momentum they had created over the last few weeks.
“We’ve freshened right up now, which is what the bodies needed,” Cudmore said.
“It’s also given the players a chance to get themselves right so we will be full strength, bar myself and Jake Green who has also retired.”
It will be the Sharks second successive major semi-final appearance and Cudmore said they were confident, but not cocky.
“We know what’s ahead of us,” he said.
“Anyone can beat anyone on the day and we know if we don’t turn up we won’t win, so it’s up to me to get the boys prepared properly.”
The winner will progress to the September 18 season decider.
