A highlight was our July meeting, as it was our annual Christmas in July Dutch auction, held at the Pacific Palms Recreation Club.
After a wonderful meal a lively auction of amazing prizes saw members and their guests bidding and raising money for Learning for Life.
Thanks to all who donated in particular the many local businesses who contributed prizes.
We were delighted to be joined by a number of friends and guests who thoroughly enjoyed the evening and the Christmas spirit.
Special thanks goes to club delegate, Tina Maasland, who organised many of the prizes and to president Kelly Herbert who ran the auction on the night assisted beautifully by Lisa Ward.
Our committee has been busy planning this year’s annual View Service for NK01 Zone which this year Pacific Palms Evening VIEW is hosting at the historic Green Cathedral on December 10 at 10am.
The Green Cathedral is a unique setting for this year’s service, located on the shores of stunning Wallis Lakes and under the beautiful old palm trees.
Our theme for this year’s service is “Summer by the Sea”.
We are looking forward to seeing many familiar and new faces join us in this exceptional setting.
Our club delegate, Tina Maasland, has spoken of our plans at a recent delegate meeting and informed delegates that invitations will go out in September.
The clubs in our zone, NK01, are: Forster Tuncurry Day VIEW, Forster Tuncurry Evening VIEW, Taree Day VIEW, Gloucester Day VIEW, Great Lakes Evening VIEW, Harrington Evening VIEW and Pacific Palms Evening VIEW.
Morning tea will be served after the service giving us a chance to mingle and enjoy the company of those who attend.
We are delighted to have the privilege of hosting this important event this year in our beautiful area and are looking forward to seeing lots of visitors attending from the zone view clubs.
