As leaders of the christian community, working together, we affirm that the Bible is the inspired word of God.
The text of Genesis 2 provides the wording of the Australian Marriage Act and definition of marriage that ‘Marriage, according to Australian Law, is the union of a man and a woman to the exclusion of all others, voluntarily entered into for life’.
We believe that definition to be a timeless and tested God ordained truth.
We believe that the traditional and foundational definition of marriage, celebrated between a man and a woman, is the ideal arrangement for domestic living.
