Work on stage I of Pacific Cape, which is just a short walk from One Mile Beach and the Stockland shopping centre, began earlier this year.
State II is planned to begin in November with the construction of another eight villas.
In the meantime, the two and three bedroom villas will be open for inspection on Wednesday mornings throughout August.
A Glaica House project, the completed construction will include 42 self-care villas, 29 1-3-bedroom apartments, undergroud car park and a 144-bed residential age care facility, and is being constructed by Adrian Reece from Oxley Island.
Glaica House general manager, John Quinn said his company was always keen to employ local tradespeople wherever possible.
“We are a local organisation and we like to put back into our community,”Mr Quinn said.
Where possible, building products and materials, fittings, floor coverings, tiles and white goods used in the project were sourced locally, Mr Quinn said.
And, all inclusions are of the highest quality, he said.
Glaica is a locally managed not-for-profit organisation providing care and accommodation for the aged and residences for independent retirees.
With the Great Lakes home to the highest number of residents aged over 65s in NSW, Pacific Cape will be welcomed by both the aging population and those who want a retirement lifestyle living.
Interest in the facility has been from both locals and as far afield as Victoria.
The price of a two-bedroom, single garage residence starts from $415,000 and a three-bedroom villa with a double garage was $467,000.
