J.K. Rowling has lost followers on Twitter after her public stance against the decision of the EU Brexit.
The Harry Potter author, who has been an outspoken campaigner of pro-Remain, was 'unfollowed' by Twitter users annoyed with Rowling's constant political tweets.
Clearly angered by UK's vote to leave the European Union, Rowling did not hold back from sharing her views and taking on Twitter trolls and critics.
"I'll use my influence whatever way I want," she tweeted. "This country needs to be freed of fascists on both right and left."

Many of Rowlings ex-followers took to Twitter to share their outrage against Rowling.

I love JK Rowling and Harry Potter's my life but I disagree with so many of her political views that following her on here is now painful— Erin Lowe (@erin_0306) June 28, 2016
Some Twitter users even accused Rowling of placing her political views throughout the popular Harry Potter book series.
Ahhh I see JK Rowling wrote about "fascism." Should we recapitulate how deeply authoritarian the world of Harry Potter is?— Conchobhar (@aDumbMick) June 27, 2016
if you're surprised jk rowling is a right-leaning centrist it's probably just because you have not read her popular series, HARRY POTTER— MAX IM A KOOPA (@meakoopa) June 28, 2016
However, members of the remaining 7.6 million Twitter followers supported the celebrity's involvement in politics.
Some are even hoping she will include this political issue in an eighth instalment of the Harry Potter series.
Hey @jk_rowling you could write a book about how Harry Potter as an adult, deals with the blatant xenophobia within Hogwarts post-brexit.— Godfrey Elfwick (@GodfreyElfwick) June 25, 2016
Hey @jk_rowling can I guilt trip you into writing Harry Potter book 8? We are in dark times I need to go back to Hogwarts where I'm welcome.— Mariam (@helloiammariam) June 24, 2016
can't wait for JK Rowling to tell us how this affects the wizarding world of harry potter— brad esposito (@braddybb) June 24, 2016
It is no secret, J.K. Rowling has a way with words.
