In an obvious flaw from this year’s blockbuster Jurassic World, Bryce Dallas Howard’s character Claire managed to outrun a T-Rex in high heels.
And while it’s doubtful if their female colleagues could do the same, there’s no chance for Mount Isa’s acting senior sergeant Brendan Poustie and Senior Constable Murray Sanewski.
They were among the seven men grumbling at wearing high heels as they struggled in the Walk a Mile in Her Shoes event in front of the Mount Isa Civic Centre on Monday afternoon.
And for a moment perhaps, they did understand what it might be like, having walked in West Street to numerous wolf whistles.
Making the most of the fun, acting Senior Sergeant Poustie’s wife – Mount Isa’s Domestic and Family Violence coordinator Sergeant Jakki Poustie – can be heard taunting with; “Bum wiggle there boys! Bum wiggle!”
And to his credit, the acting Senior Sergeant plays along, for the sake of the cause of course.
