That boy filled Melinda with sadness because he asked the question everyone has been asking.
Melinda organised the walk, which was part of a national movement that thousands of people participated in to raise awareness and funds for the Where’s William? campaign.
“We are all emotional about little William Tyrell,” Melinda said.
“Just thinking about that little boy asking his mother ‘where’s William’ is enough to make me cry.”
Great Lakes residents and businesses showed strong support for the day which raised $824.50 in total.
“To see people show absolute compassion and generosity towards the situation was wonderful,” Melinda said.
“The response was heart warming.”Melinda thanked all the businesses and residents for showing their support and participating on the day.
Another walk also took place on Saturday which left from Tuncurry.
That walk also received strong support.
The walks were in response to William’s disappearance from his grandparents’ home 12 months ago.
