THE Forster Digital Photography Club's meeting opened with the club’s Annual General Meeting and announcement of the new committee for the next financial year and issued results from their July photo competition.

The club also wishes to thank outgoing members secretary Brian McCauley and Lesley Walter for their past efforts.
In July A grade member Keith Davies conducted another one of his very popular workshops.
This time the subject was the Basics of Photoshop, including an insight on how to use the layers part of the software.
The judge for this month’s Set Subject, “Macro” was Doug Booker who comes from Oberon NSW. Doug’s photography interests are Landscape, Rodeo and Motor Sports.
He also lectures on photography with his main topics being the relationship of the viewer to two dimensional imagery and multiple flash imagery.
Doug is an experienced judge of both print and electronic images.
This month’s Open Subject judge was John North EFIAP (Bronze Medal) FAPS PSQA.
John started in photography at age twelve and joined his first camera club in 1960.
In 1964 he entered his first international competition and has not looked back since.
John is now a national and international accredited judge, having travelled to Austria five times to judge their competitions.
He also judged the Maitland International competition and has been invited to Germany to judge on several occasions.
The club welcomes new member Maria Evans and wish her every success in the club’s competitions.
