That was the case on Tuesday evening (May 5) when a van broke down causing traffic to back up through the twin towns.
Ben Elliot contacted the Great Lakes Advocate via our Facebook page to say he, along with another man, jumped into action to push it off the bridge rather than waiting for a tow truck.
Michele Price was thankful for his quick response posting: "thankful for Ben Elliott and friend who helped to clear the local bridge - one day we might have another lane or two."
Dale Dunn seconded this posting: "build another bridge."
But Jack Freeman saw things differently: "I was stuck in that for five minutes of my life. First time that's happened to me, so is that honestly reason enough to build another bridge? Are you kidding yourselves? How about build some patience."
