Seven dollars from every entry will be directed to the local unit, with around a dozen of the local firies set to help out on the day in a voluntary marshalling capacity.
The RFS is one of several charities who are rotating beneficiaries of the fun run, with other regulars being Camp Quality and Surf Lifesaving NSW.
Forster Triathlon Club is always keen to give back to the community that supports its members during our racing season.
Runners are reminded that online entries will close this Saturday (April 11) at 6pm. Limited on the day entries are available, but the price will increase to $20.
Online entry is available on the Tri Club website at forstertriclub.com.au
Cash prizes are available for outright placegetters and category winners, as well as a prize for the best fancy dress, and heaps of giveaways.
The race starts at 7.30am on Sunday with registration and check-in open from 6.30am.
