This will be the first time the two sides have met since the end of 2013 when the Saints defeated the Tigers in the Premier League promotion/relegation playoff.
Last season the Saints performed admirably, narrowly missing a semi-final berth, playing some good football and even notching a win over Wallis Lake, the eventual premiers in 2014.
The Tigers themselves enjoyed a good 2014, finishing as unbeaten Premiers and Champions of the FMNC Southern League, and defeating the Wingham Warriors to regain their Premier League place.
"I'm really looking forward to it. Our depth will be tested straight away with two players carrying suspensions from last season, as well as two other first grade players away - but we've shown in pre-season that we are able to cope well with lineup changes, and I am expecting a very close game against a very good side," Tigers First Grade Coach Jonathon Newman said.
Reserve Grade kicks off at 1.15, and the first grade encounter starts at 3pm.
Get down to Tuncurry Sports Complex to see some great football. The FMNC Southern League also kicks off on Saturday, with the Tigers’ third grade side up against the Lansdowne Lions at Lansdowne at 2.30pm.
