An on-site meeting between Nabiac pool committee members, aquatic experts from Royal Life Saving, Great Lakes Council staff, and council’s underwriter Statewide Mutual, has confirmed that the almost completed Nabiac Pool will not be open in time for Christmas.
Recent rain and newly revealed insurance concerns have delayed the pool’s opening to the public, until early into the new year.
Great Lakes Council is working closely with the pool’s committee to resolve the issues highlighted by the insurance company at the recent meeting.
A revised opening date will be discussed early in 2015. As stated by a disappointed but determined pool committee on the pool’s Facebook page: “like every other obstacle we will overcome it.”
