THE 20th Annual Classic Pairs was played last week at the Forster Bowling Club with 48 teams coming from all areas such as Beresfield, Ettalong, Mounties, Taren Point, Tea Gardens, Nelson Bay, Port City, Wyong, Soldiers Point and let’s not forget our district clubs, Tuncurry, Black Head, Pacific Palms and of course our own club Forster.

After four days of high quality bowls played in great spirit, we saw Warren Shipley of Beresfield and Bogden Duma of Nelson Bay defeat Julio Passadass of Merrylands and Don Strickland of Wenty Leagues in the final where a great crowd witnessed some great bowling.
A special mention should be made as to how well the tournament was run - well done Geoff Robinson.
Now the selectors for the Pennant teams will be meeting shortly, so if you intend playing pennants please place your name on the list which is on the notice board.
While we are on pennants our coaching staff starting next Friday will be conducting skills coaching starting at 9.15am. This is your chance to review and brush up your skills.
Entries for the mixed fours will close on October 31 at 1pm.

Entry forms for the Pelican Mixed Pairs to be held on Sunday November 9 are now available at the bowls office. There is $2000 in prize money, $50 entry fee per team and lunch included.
The 2014 Forster Blue Waters Two Bowl Triples will be held on Sunday November 30. Teams can comprise of Men/ Women/ Mixed with $1200 in prize money and the cost is $60 per team including lunch. Entry forms at the bowls office.
