They are a 16-year-old boy, who can not be named, and 18-year-old James Deeth.
Deeth is charged with being an accessory after the fact to murder.
He appeared in Kempsey Local Court yesterday, where he was granted conditional bail.
However, this was stayed pending a Supreme Court appeal by the police prosecutor.
The case was adjourned until November.
The 16-year-old was charged with murder and was to appear in a Children's Court yesterday.
Police allege that about 1.40am on Sunday, four people were involved in a fight outside the Commonwealth Bank on Horton St, Port Macquarie.
It is alleged the 16-year-old produced a knife and stabbed a 25-year-old man in the chest several times.
The boy and his companion drove away in a red utility while several bystanders went to the injured man’s aid.
He was treated at the scene by paramedics and taken by ambulance to Port Macquarie Hospital, where he died two hours later.
Detectives from the Mid North Coast Local Area Command and the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad immediately began investigations and established Strike Force Semple to investigate the man’s death.
About 2pm on Sunday, Deeth attended Kempsey Police Station where he was arrested and charged, police said.
It will be alleged that he drove the car on the night and attempted to dispose of clothing worn by the other accused.
About 6.45pm that night, the 16-year-old boy attended Kempsey Police Station where he was arrested and charged with murder.
Detectives from the strike force executed search warrants at premises in Dondingalong and South Kempsey, where they seized a red Ford utility and other items for forensic examination.
