Both grades kept their opponents scoreless and came away with convincing wins. 

The reserve grade side kicked things off with a dominating first half performance with the unstoppable Ethan Perry claiming his third hatrick in consecutive weeks.

Two more goals were scored before the break thanks to Chris Richards and Josh Warpole. The Wallis Lake side dropped their intensity in the second half and cruised to a 5-0 win.

Ethan Perry was named man of the match after scoring his 18th goal of the season. 

A great pitch and loyal supporters are part of the reason why Wallis Lake’s first grade side have remained unbeaten at home since round eight of last season. 

Despite Wallis Lake starting slower than their Port FC opponents they maintained the pressure and turned the match around by boosting their goal difference and bagging six goals before the final whistle.

The away team had better chances in the opening 30 minutes and were unlucky not to get ahead thanks to a brilliant one-on-one save by Wallis Lake goal keeper Tynan Leahy.

After withstanding the Port FC attack, Wallis Lake were creating chances on the counter and a quick break away from Mitch Yarnold saw a chance for striker Peter Masterantonio to open the scoring after beating the offside trap and goal keeper, only to rush his shot and miss the target.

Striker Roan Whiteman made sure he was on target and produced two quick goals before the break. 

Midfielder Louis Ponte was constantly beating his opponent out wide and setup both goals for Whiteman whose classy finishing allowed the side to go in to half time 2-0.

The message from coach Herb Klemperer was to maintain the tempo.

Captain Beau Wynter was part of a reshuffled back line as stopper Paul Chipperfield was missing the game through suspension.  His defensive partner Luke Debrincat was rock solid stopping every attack that came his way.  Goal keeper Leahy had little to do in the second half as the Wallis Lake attack overran the visitors who couldn’t keep up. 

Constant pressure resulted in four more goals for the home side with Yarnold scoring twice in another stand out performance.  Masterantonio scored his easiest goal yet thanks to a pass from Whiteman.  

Substitute Ethan Perry showed he can match it in first grade with a tidy finish that ensured Wallis Lake would take home all three points and win the match 6-0. 

Beau Wynter was named man of the match after holding it together at the back.

Wallis Lake will be looking to keep up their solid form as they travel away this weekend to take on the Port Saints.  

The Port side, who were promoted to Premier League this season, currently sit middle of the ladder, fighting for a top five finish. Games start at 1.15pm at Findlay Park, Port Macquarie.
