Centre management have not put a cost estimate on the damage but say hail a meter thick blocked gutters forcing water to pour into the shops. The centre's electrical contractor is inspecting each store to see if it is safe to resume trading.

The storm hit at around 3pm and the heavy rain and hail clogged gutters at the shopping complex causing rain to pour in to the centre with the roofs of some shops (including the Liquorland) to collapse.
The centre was evacuated. Some shop keepers were allowed back in yesterday afternoon to assess the damage but many shops remain closed today.
Yesterday it appeared Priceline, Woolworths supermarket and Vast Interior were operating but they are located just outside of the main centre.
Many homes in the area were also damaged due to the hail with windows and sky lights smashed.
