The awards will now be held on Saturday, February 12.
However, the reschedule date will enable businesses more time to prepare and submit entries.
Nominations will close on Friday, December 10, and finalists announced on Wednesday, January 12, with the gala dinner to be held at Forster on February 12.
The awards are open to all businesses throughout the Mid Coast in the areas of tourism and hospitality, professional services, health and wellbeing, retail services and trades and construction.
In the people's choice section, this year a winner will be awarded to each business chamber region that receives the most validated entries.
Other awards include best start-up new business, community services award, hall of fame (business or individual) and the prestigious hall of fame/outstanding business leader.
We have entered the business awards two years in a row and I have found the process of working through our application quite enlightening.
- RR Property business owner, Denise Haynes
For some essential businesses COVID-19 restrictions mean they are busier than ever and their challenge is trying to meet demand within the ever-changing restriction conditions and with the health and safety of their customers and staff at the forefront, organising committee member, Maxine Calladine said.
For others this is an opportunity to refine their business model and put in place strategies for when restrictions ease, she said.
"We have entered the business awards two years in a row and I have found the process of working through our application quite enlightening," RR Property business owner, Denise Haynes said.
"As a business owner, who is always intent upon improving and growing our business, I don't always stop and consider just how far we have progressed.
"As multi award winners, these awards have provided a powerful marketing opportunity while creating shared excitement about our business."
All entries will be judged by independent experts from out of the region.
