Billed I'll get by with a little help from my friends, the event is coming together to help raise much needed funds for musician Karen Goodall.
Earlier this year Karen lost her home in Cundletown, all her possessions, furniture and car when the floods smashed through much of the Manning Valley.
Everything we have asked for we have received; this community is wonderful.
- Shani Coulson
Karen has been homeless since March, bouncing between refuge shelters and friends' couches as she continues to look for permanent accommodation.
In the meantime Karen has been 'gifted' a caravan in Tuncurry, where she and her much loved pooch can settle in over the winter months.
Life has been pretty tough for the musician, who continues to recover from a double whammy of stroke and brain surgery suffered two years ago.
A multi-instrumentalist - she plays bass and keyboard and sings - Karen has been supported by her Eklektx band-mates during her journey,
Friend, fellow musician and fundraiser organiser Shani Coulson said it was all about the music and helping Karen get back on her feet.
Shani described her friend Kaz as a vocalist and bass player extraordinaire and all round top chick.
She has been overwhelmed with the response for prizes and donations from local business houses.
"We had this crazy idea to help her."
"Everything we have asked for we have received; this community is wonderful."
