Cars in recent times have become much safer, again a no brainer. How to make motorcycling safer, that is the big question.
Bikes in 2021 are much more technologically advanced.
Through this technology they are safer.
ABS is basically standard across the board while some other technologies available in cars are also available to a limited degree on top of the line bikes.
But at the end of the day in an accident the rider separates from the motorcycle and either hits the road or something more solid.
What can be done?
The answer - fit certain safety gear to the rider and not the bike.
Hence the jacket with inbuilt airbag was born.
Alpinestars has been leading the pack when it comes to motorcycle airbag vests, and their premiere Tech-Air five is coming into 2021 with some important updates to make living with a motorcycle airbag vest a little bit easier.
This year the vest will connect with your smartphone via Bluetooth.
Before this model, the previous iterations were locked to "Street Riding Mode"
The Alpinestars Tech-Air 5 will be available at official retailers at $699.95.
Now while the jacket airbag can give some protection it is still very much up to the rider to ride on the basis 'all other vehicles on the road are out to get you' and adjust accordingly.
Your wellbeing is very much in your own hands.
