To reduce impact on motorists, work will be carried out between 7pm and 5am on Monday 15 and Tuesday 16 March and is expected to be completed by 5am on Wednesday 17 March, weather permitting.
One lane will be closed during working hours, with traffic control and a reduced speed limit of 40km/h in place, which may cause short delays.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
Transport for NSW thanks motorists for their patience during this time.
Work will also require the temporary overnight closure of the navigable channel on the Tuncurry side of the bridge, between 6pm and 3am on Monday and Tuesday reopening to vessels at 3am the following day.
The navigable channel on the Forster side of the bridge will remain open at all times and appropriate channel closed markers and lights will be used to identify the changes for vessels using the waterway on the Tuncurry side.
