Three females were airlifted to John Hunter Hospital, Newcastle in a stable condition following a two vehicle accident at Rainbow Flat late yesterday afternoon, Friday, January 22.
The 15-year-old, 25-year-old and 45-year-old were stabilised and treated at the scene before being transported via two Westpac Rescue Helicopters after sustaining serious injuries.
Multiple emergency service and rescue agencies responded to the incident including the helicopter critical care medical team and NSW Ambulance paramedics.
EARLIER:
Emergency personnel, including the Westpac Rescue Helicopter, have arrived at the scene of an accident on the corner of Blackhead Road and The Lakes Way.
According to eye witness reports and Facebook posts, a white Holden utility and grey Mercedes sedan have collided.
Apparently, the Holden has run into the back of the Mercedes, before 6pm this afternoon, Friday, January 22.
