Great Lakes Green took a decisive win over Taree West Strikers at Tuncurry on Saturday, January 16, when third grade cricket resumed following the mid-season break.

Green won the toss and batted first, posting a defendable 7/186 off 40 overs.
Harpreet Singh was the standout with the bat, scoring a half century, while David Balaam, Dave O'Sullivan and Allan May also put in respectable performances.
Green then turned their attention to bowling and dismissed the Strikers for just 47.
Allan May had the best return with 4/14.
Club mates Great Lakes Gold enjoyed similar success at Forster when they chased down a lowly 55 runs to defeat Pacific Palms.
The result saw Gold retain their position at second on the ladder ahead of third-placed Palms.
Cameron Keene was the only batsmen to make any headway for Palms, scoring 19 runs before he was caught by Lachlan Monks off a Jake McCarthy ball.
Matthew Britza was the best hitter for Gold, posting 13.
However, it was in the bowling department that Gold really shone, with Jayden Smidt and David Webster both taking four wickets each in their eight overs.
Competition leaders Bulahdelah picked up where they left off before Christmas, dismissing Taree United for 93 before losing just three wickets on the way to taking the win at home.
Noel Matheson was Bulahdelah's top scorer, hitting 53 off 85 balls.
Glen Morante was the team's standout bowler, taking 4/13 in 6.4 overs.
In other results, Old Bar-Harrington rolled Wingham and Old Bar defeated Taree West Heat.

This Saturday's matches will see Bulahdelah play Taree West Strikers, Great Lakes Gold take on Old Bar, Great Lakes Green meet Old Bar-Harrington, and Pacific Palms do battle with Taree United.
Wingham will play Taree West Heat in the round's other clash.
Meanwhile, second grade cricket is also set to resume on Saturday, with second-placed Great Lakes scheduled to meet third-placed Old Bar at Tuncurry.
Great Lakes currently sit nine points clear of Old Bar and three points shy of competition leaders Taree United.
Great Lakes and United are due to meet in round 15 in a clash that is sure to provide the winner with a significant confidence boost ahead of the finals.
Great Lakes took out the second grade grand final in 2020, accounting for Old Bar at home at Tuncurry.
Taree United defeated Old Bar-Harrington to win the third grade grand final.
