"We've received hundreds of online submissions, hundreds of amazing colour-ins from our youngest community members, votes via ballot boxes from local schools and we've consulted via focus groups with special interest groups and people living with a disability," community spaces, recreation and trades manager Dan Aldridge said.
"We've popped up at markets, on the site at Tuncurry Skatepark, and in other parks and locations in the local area to chat with hundreds of people about the plans for the playground. We want to thank everyone who has provided feedback on the project.
"The multi-faceted engagement program allows everyone to tell us what specific elements they'd like to see within the playground, as well as comment on some of the additional facilities for the first stage of the Tuncurry recreation precinct.
"We want to find out what equipment people want to see in the water playground - so both a simple poll and more detailed survey asks you to identify your preferred water playground inclusions."

The initial stage of the project will include the construction of a shaded playground, new amenities block and barbecue and picnic table facilities.
However, not everything is up for consultation yet.
"Later, we will be expanding facilities at Fazio Park, which will develop into the Tuncurry recreation precinct. The reserve already includes the skate park and Tuncurry Memorial Hall," Mr Aldridge said.
"There are plans for a children's safety bike path in the precinct and we'll be developing parking, footpaths and a safe access way to link Lone Pine Park and the foreshore with the new precinct."
The project has a budget of $1.5 million with over $800,000 already secured, including a grant of $400,000 from the Federal Government's Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program.
