NSW Health has advised a confirmed case visited Cafe Toscano, Beach Bums Cafe and Stocklands Coles, Forster last week.
Anyone who was at Cafe Toscano in the outdoor verandah area last Wednesday, December 16 between 6-7.45pm for one hour or more during those times is considered a close contact and should get tested immediately and self-isolate until December 30.
Other people who attended the venue for less than an hour during the times below should monitor for symptoms, and get tested immediately if they appear.
Anyone who attended Beach Bums Cafe also on Wednesday, December 16, between 8-9am and Thursday December 17 between 8-9am is considered a casual contact and should get tested immediately and isolate until they receive a negative result.
I'm urging anyone in our region with even the mildest symptoms such as headache, fatigue, cough, sore throat or runny nose, to come forward immediately for testing, then isolate until a negative result is received.
- Stephen Bromhead
NSW Health has also advised that two people who visited Coles Stockland Forster on Tuesday, December 15 between 2:30-3pm have since tested positive to COVID-19.
Due to the duration of the visit and limited contact the location has been deemed low risk but people are encouraged to monitor for symptoms and if you feel unwell self isolate and undertake a COVID-19 test.
Member for Myall Lakes, Stephen Bromhead is pleading with residents and visitors to respect health guidelines, practice social distancing, get tested and isolate when necessary to keep the virus at bay.
"Earlier this year I'm proud to say our community did the right thing and as a result was able to remain COVID19 free from early May to now," Mr Bromhead said.
"I'm urging anyone in our region with even the mildest symptoms such as headache, fatigue, cough, sore throat or runny nose, to come forward immediately for testing, then isolate until a negative result is received."
Drive through testing is also available at Manning Base Hospital, Taree, but bookings are required on 6592 9850, while testing also is being carried at at the Taree Respiratory Clinic between 9am to 5pm with booking required HERE.
