While the increasingly warm weather over the past few weeks has served to gently remind us summer is on the way, there'll be nothing subtle about this weekend's soaring temperatures, which look set to close out spring in brutal fashion.

Friday won't be too uncomfortable, with warm and mostly sunny conditions forecast across the Great Lakes. Along the coast 17-27 is predicted, while inland 19-27 is expected along with some scattered showers earlier in the day.

Saturday should see the temperature ramp up into the 30s, with 17-31 expected along the coast and a steamy 19-36 expected closer to the ranges.
Sunday looks like the real killer, with a scorching 21-39 expected on the coast and an only slightly cooler 24-37 predicted inland.
There are no weather warnings current for the Mid North Coast.
