The racing veteran from Forster has again represented the area with pride and unmeasured skill this season and displayed the prowess of men decades younger.
Gallagher's campaign for a NSW State Hill Climb Championship title began in March at Bathurst with a huge field of drivers testing their fortunes on the famous Mount Panorama course.
Competing over two days, Gallagher was at his best through The Esses.
Driving his two litre Toyota 86, Gallagher competed against a higher class car in terms of kW and four litre turbo engine.
The opposing Falcon performed better up Mountain Straight but Gallagher had amassed enough points across the weekend to claim the hardest fought victory in his career.
Not bad considering the Falcon had three times the power of the 86.

The COVID-19 pandemic caused a long wait until the MG Car Club event at Newcastle, which Gallagher won in July.
The remaining events were held at Ringwood.
In the Hillclimb event in August, Gallagher took out another first place against 46 other entries with some very quick times.
He also defeated a close friend who raced in an all-wheel drive turbo Audi Sports, which was no mean feat.
He also claimed first on both days of the Mattara Championship event with a time of 85.25 seconds.
In very wet conditions on September 20, Gallagher picked up more championship points.

He returned to Ringwood on November 1 and was again treated to some wet racing.
When the rain eased, Gallagher erased his 95.28 seconds from his first run with 83.98 seconds in the second run and 86 seconds in the third.
With his second run, Gallagher beat his own course record for the 2F Production Sports 2L class.
Talk about making history in 2020.
