MidCoast Council mayor, David West said he was committed to supporting the community, particularly residents who are still recovering from the bushfires, which culminated in the Great Lakes in November.
"Although it may seem that we have been in touch many times, the fires were particularly devastating across the Mid Coast, so we want to ensure everyone who is recovering is getting the help they need, and that they're also prepared for this bushfire season," Cr West said.
Across NSW, 5.4 million hectares of land was burnt during the black summer bushfires, with 2439 homes destroyed, but more sadly the death of 26 lives.

The Mid Coast region, which was one of the first areas to fall victim to the red steer, didn't escape, with 2371 kilometres burnt or approximately 24 per cent of the local government area.
Tragically there was one fatality, the destruction of 128 homes and hundreds of hectares of substantial property damage.
Ten months on, in partnership with Service NSW and Resilience NSW, council will shortly be in touch to better understand resident needs and identify how it can lend a hand.
"The check-in will also help keep you informed about assistance that is available and refer you to services that could help you," Cr West said.
Those whose residences were damaged or destroyed will be contacted by email or phone, however there are still a number of people for whom MidCoast Council doesn't have email or phone details, he said.
If your home or property was damaged or destroyed and you think we may not have up-to-date contact details for you, please email recovery@midcoast.nsw.gov.au or call 7955 7543.
