Community feedback will help to shape these policies moving forward and with all exhibition periods closing on May 1 at 4.30pm, there's still time to make a submissions.
Four draft policies on exhibition are:
- The Draft Abandoned Vehicles and Vessels Policy - to ensure legislation and resources are applied to achieve positive environmental health and safety outcomes for the community in an ethical and transparent manner.;
- Draft Surveillance Camera Policy - this policy provides details about the use of surveillance cameras around council assets;
- Draft Community Donations Policy - this policy provides a framework for the provision of financial assistance by MidCoast Council to eligible organisations for the purposes of delivering community development and capacity-building projects and activities, and
- Draft Barking Dog (Animal Noise) Policy - this policy provides a structured, consistent and transparent approach to barking dog complaints and offensive noise complaints from other species received by council.
"It is important to us that the community can share their thoughts," MidCoast Council liveable communities director, Paul De Szell said.
"We are asking the community to take the time to familiarise themselves with these draft policies and let us know how they think we could do things better, what can be changed or improved and advise us of anything we may have missed."
Anyone who would like to provide feedback on any of the policies on exhibition, visit the MidCoast Council Have Your Say page.
It's as simple as downloading the draft policy and then completing the submission form on the policy page.
