A man has died after being pulled from water at Diamond Beach on Saturday, February 29.

The 38-year-old Tamworth man was swimming with a group of family and friends later on Saturday afternoon when he got into difficulties.
According to officers from the Manning Great Lakes Police District, the man and a female friend, aged in her 20s were swept out to deeper water by a rip.
A third man managed to rescue the woman, bringing her back to shore.
The man was pulled from the water before witnesses began CPR until police and NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived.
Sadly, he died at the scene.
Police were called to the scene at approximately 6pm following reports the man was unconscious in the water.
Officers have begun inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
The man was the 66th person to drown in Australian waterways this summer season.
During 2019 the national drowning toll was 276 people including 98 in NSW.
