I hear the wonderful Forster beach shelter will be demolished soon and replaced with a smaller shelter area with the roof so high that it will not provide shelter from the sun.

I have tried to find information through various forms but have discovered it practically impossible to find decent pictures of the plan.
All I have found is 'airy fairy' pictures that of course look great, but seems to be very misleading.
The council tell the reader that there have been extensive consultation with the community, but from my own on the ground research with approx 100 locals and tourists, it seems nobody even knew about it and are disgusted that the shelter is getting demolished.
Over 20 years of spending at least four months of the year at Forster I see for myself every day different groups using the shelter, disability, elderly, school, tourists, kids and locals as it is a much needed reprieve from the sun, but it is not enough, so people are forced to sit in the blazing sun because the shelter is already packed.
I have witnessed myself multiple medical episodes over the years because of the lack of shelter from the sun and heat exposure.
I am pretty sure that the council do not want to get sued because now it has been brought to their attention regarding the medical episodes and the health of people.
Please Forster council, save Forster beach shelter but build more.
