The essential work will be undertaken between Locketts Crossing and Brushy Creek roads between 7pm and 4.30am from Monday.
Weather permitting, work is expected to be completed within six days.
Work involves replacing the road surface in both directions of the highway and line marking.
Traffic control and a reduced speed limit of 40km/h will be in place for the safety of workers and road users.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
