Capturing everything from close encounters between sharks and surfers to intimate moments between mother whales and their calves to fires, fishing and more, he's provided a unique glimpse into the beauty and wonder of the Great Lakes as seen from above.
Whittling down his vast collection of images to just five favourites wasn't an easy task, but in the end he went with the things he enjoyed shooting the most or found most spectacular.
"They sum up the place we live in," he said.
"How lucky we are."
Mullet run, Nine Mile Beach, Tuncurry
Captured in May during the annual mullet run, this image was taken from a video Adam shot that subsequently garnered attention on a national and even international scale.
Understandably, he was pretty proud of it.
"It really gave people an insight into the whole thing," he said.
"From the air it looks spectacular."
Humpback whale, One Mile Beach, Forster
When Adam took this shot of a humpback whale calf breaching off One Mile Beach in October, he wasn't even there to shoot whales.
He was capturing panoramas of Cape Hawke, which you can see in the background.
But when a mother humpback and her calf showed up, it led to this magic moment.
"I've been waiting for years to get that one perfect shot where one would be out there and jump up in front of me," Adam said.
Surfer, Boomerang Beach
A day of big, clean waves in September led to this unique perspective of a surfer racing down the line at Boomerang Beach while another waves rears up out the back.
"It was pumping," Adam said.
"There ended up being like 60 guys out.
"I liked that he was pretty deep in the wave and the water was crystal."
Bushfire, Big Island, Forster Keys
Taken in August during the first terrible bushfire event to hit the Great Lakes in 2019, this shot shows the Big Island at Forster Keys going up in smoke.
Unaware there was even a fire going on, when he heard the news from a friend Adam instantly raced down to Green Point, where he knew he'd get a great vantage point.
The image was subsequently shared by the NSW Rural Fire Service.
"It''s a sinister day over Forster Tuncurry," Adam said.
"It has an eerieness about it."
Dolphins, Nine Mile Beach, Tuncurry
One of a number of images Adam captured at Nine Mile Beach on this day back in August, he believed everything came together for this shot.
"They were being really playful on that particular day," he said.
"The water was magic."
